Your Owl is crafted from natural leather, treated in a way that preserves its softness, character, and individuality.
Depending on the type of leather, subtle marks left by time may be visible — these are not imperfections, but natural features that make each Gėda Pelėda piece truly one of a kind.
Over time, through contact with sunlight, your skin, and everyday life, your Owl will gently change — as all fine leather does.
The leather may deepen in tone, soften to the touch, and gain even more character and beauty.
Love your Owl, care for it with attention, and it will age gracefully — living and accompanying you for many years to come.
PROTECT
Your Owl does not enjoy direct sunlight or prolonged exposure to intense heat.
Keep it away from direct heat sources and excessive moisture. Water, oils, perfumes, and makeup products may leave marks that are difficult to remove from your Owl’s leather surface.
Handle with care to preserve its beauty.
CLEAN
If your Owl becomes marked, gently clean it with a dry, clean cloth.
A mild cream or foam specifically designed for natural leather may be used, depending on the type of leather.
If your Owl gets wet, do not dry it using direct heat or sunlight, as this may distort its shape.
Gently wipe it with a clean, dry cloth and allow it to air-dry naturally in a dry place.
Your Owl is sensitive to scratches, and they may be difficult to remove.
Minor marks may be softened using specialised leather care products.
Always use products intended for natural leather only, ensuring they are suitable for the specific leather type and colour.
NOURISH
Chocolate Brown and Oiled Black leather Owls will age beautifully when nourished with leather creams, balms, or sprays at the beginning and end of each season.
Always choose care products according to the specific leather type and colour.
During the wetter seasons, we recommend protecting these Owls with impregnation products designed for natural leather. This helps shield the leather from moisture and environmental exposure.
Before applying any product, always test it on a small, discreet area. Use it on the entire surface only once you are confident it suits your Owl.
Coal and Bravo leathers are already treated during production and do not require additional impregnation.
REMEMBER
Young Owls may occasionally release a small amount of colour. This is a natural characteristic of richly dyed leather and will fade with time.
To help reduce temporary colour transfer, we recommend gently cleaning Chocolate Brown and Oiled Black Owls with a dry cloth and using suitable leather care products.
Wishing you a beautiful journey, Gėda Pelėda – Kristina
